This is the practical choice if you want the spa without the highway frontage that comes with a balcony room. Kids in the pool in the afternoon, a spa once they are asleep, and a car parked outside the door for the morning run to Blacksmiths or the Fernleigh Track.

Saltwater, in the grounds behind the front block, away from the road. There is no lifeguard — children need an adult with them.
Feeding everyone

Getting out
Flat lake water across the road, patrolled surf five minutes east, and a sealed rail trail five minutes north.
