Lake outlook · from $168 a night
Upper level with a private balcony and a lake outlook across the highway. The view room — and honestly, the road-noise room.
A queen bed, a sofa bed, and a private balcony on the upper level looking out across the Pacific Highway to Lake Macquarie. Late afternoon is when it earns its keep: the water goes flat and gold, the yachts come back in toward Belmont, and there is a chair out there with your name on it.
Inside it is the same honest kit as the rest of the property — kitchenette with fridge and microwave, tea and coffee, air conditioning, flat-screen TV, DVD player, shower over the bath, free WiFi. Stairs up from the car park; you still park directly below your room.
We will be straight with you about the trade-off. This is a highway-facing room. You are looking at the lake over four lanes of Pacific Highway, and you will hear those lanes. Guests who want the outlook think it is worth it. Guests who want silence book the rear ground floor. Both are reasonable.
Where this room sits
Highway-facingBest lake outlook, more road noise
Upper level at the front of the property, facing the Pacific Highway with Lake Macquarie beyond it. This is the room with the outlook, and it is also the room that hears the road. Traffic thins out after dark but never stops. If quiet matters more than the view, book a Family Room instead.

The outlook
This is a front room, and we are not going to photograph around the road. What you see from the balcony is the Pacific Highway, then the foreshore, then Lake Macquarie behind it.

A private balcony on the upper level, the best water outlook on the property, and the western light off the lake in the late afternoon.
Road noise. Traffic thins out after dark but never stops, and the first trucks are early.
Book the ground-floor Family Room at the rear instead — it is the quietest room we have. We would rather move you now than apologise later.

If quiet is the priority, say so when you book — if a better-placed room is free on your dates, you will get it.
The bed configuration is 1 Queen + 1 sofa bed. We do not publish a maximum-occupancy figure for this room, because the numbers the booking sites carry for this property are not reliable and we would rather not repeat them. Ring (02) 4945 2847 and we will tell you what genuinely fits.
No. There are no lifts anywhere on the property. This room is on the upper level and is reached by stairs. If stairs are a problem, read our accessible accommodation page and ring before booking.
From $168 a night for two guests, direct, with no booking fee. That covers the room as described, free parking at the door, free WiFi, daily housekeeping, and use of the saltwater pool, the barbecue and the guest laundry. Live rates are confirmed at checkout.
Reception can see the board, walk to the room and look at it. That is a thirty-second call, and it is the only way to be certain.
