What actually matters on a hospital stay
Hospital visits are unpredictable. You may be here for two nights or two weeks, you will keep odd hours, and you will be tired. We have set this page out around the things that genuinely help rather than the things that sound nice.
A quiet room. Ask for the ground-floor Family Room at the rear. It is the furthest our rooms get from the Pacific Highway and it is the quietest accommodation we have. If you are sleeping at strange hours, this is the one.
A kitchenette. Every room has a fridge, microwave, kettle and tea and coffee. Hospital cafeteria food for a week is miserable and expensive. There is a supermarket a few minutes up the highway.
A laundry. Self-service, on site. If you packed for three days and are staying for ten, this is the difference between coping and not.
Free parking at your door. Pull up, carry things in, no parking station, no lifts to negotiate. Leave whenever you need to.
